China - A-Power wind turbine base starts production in Shenyang

A wind turbine-manufacturing base has started production in Hunnan New District of Shenyang, the capital city of northeast Liaoning Province.

Covering an area of 15 hectares, and having a total investment of USD 120 million, the base is designed to produce 300 units of 2,700KW wind turbines per year. Owned by A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd., it is operated by Shenyang Ruixiang Wind Power Equipment Co., Ltd. and Shenyang Jinxiang Power Equipment Co., Ltd.

Besides, the base has two production lines for 750KW and 225KW wind turbines respectively having an annual production capacity of 200 sets and 100 sets. In 2009, 250 sets of different wind turbines will be produced, generating output values of CNY 7 billion.

After all the production lines start production, the base will be able to produce 600 sets of wind turbines, and generate output values of more than tens of billions of Chinese Yuan per year.
