Windpark Zeewolde B.V., a unique collaboration of more than 200 local farmers, residents and entrepreneurs of the Netherlands, has placed an order for 83 Vestas wind turbines totaling 322 MW for the wind project Zeewolde. The project is in the outskirts of Zeewolde, close to the IJsselmeer, on an area that covers over 300 square kilometers.

Vestas has secured a 48 MW order with Vietnamese developer, Phong Lieu Wind Power JSC for a wind project located in the Quang Tri Province of Vietnam. This win marks Vestas’ eighth wind project in the province, bringing its footprint in this area to over 300 MW and to a total of almost 700 MW in the country.

Vestas has received a 336 MW order from the Taaleri SolarWind II fund and co-investors, AIP and Akuo Energy for the Escalade wind project in Texas, USA which will feature the first Enventus platform turbines in the USA. The project is the first North American wind project for Taaleri Energia and the Taaleri SolarWind II fund.

Vestas has received a 226 MW order for five wind energy projects in Russia from WEDF (Wind Energy Development Fund), a joint investment fund created on a parity basis by PJSC Fortum and JSC RUSNANO.

Vestas has secured its largest order in Vietnam to date for a total of 144 MW for the three wind parks Lien Lap, Phong Huy, and Phong Nguyen in the Qu?ng Tr? Province.

E-Connection, a Dutch wind project developer with more than 30 years of experience in developing, realising and managing complex wind energy projects, has placed an order for 11 turbines totaling 46 MW for the first phase of the wind project Oosterscheldekering Wind Optimization that consists of the four wind parks Binnenhaven, Roggeplaat-West, Noordland Buiten and Vluchthaven.

A 67 MW order for two projects in Vietnam underlines Vestas’ ability to deliver a tailormade and innovative solution featuring the tallest turbines in the country for a challenging site with complex installation requirements.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Vestas has taken measures to ensure the safety of its employees and reasonably mitigate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on its operations. The spread of the virus globally and the national measures implemented to contain it have eventually, however, caused disruptions to Vestas’ manufacturing, supply chain, and installations.

Vestas has received a 139 MW order from MHI Vestas Offshore Wind to supply 33 Vestas V117-4.2MW typhoon variant turbines for Akita Noshiro Offshore Wind Farm Project. Located in Japan’s northern Akita prefecture, the wind farm will be the first utility-scale offshore project in Japan.

Maintaining its successful momentum with 200 MW order intake in Vietnam last year, Vestas has now secured its fourth intertidal project in the country with a 29 MW order with Sigma Engineering Joint Stock Company.

Through working closely with our customer to optimise their projects for competitive auctions, Vestas has secured a 68 MW order for three projects in Poland. Awarded at the Polish wind-solar-energy auction, in December 2019, the projects attest to the increasing competitiveness of wind energy.

Vestas has won a 63 MW order to supply, install and commission 16 wind turbines for two projects in central Jutland in Denmark. With this order, Vestas has secured the total 135 MW wind volume of the second technology-neutral auction in Denmark in 2019, underlining Vestas’ unparalleled ability to support customers in submitting winning auction bids.

Vestas wins repowering order with Danish auction win

Vestas has received a 36 MW repowering order for the Overgaard II wind project from Wind Estate A/S, one of Denmark’s leading energy companies.

The global demand for sustainable energy solutions optimised for low and ultra-low wind conditions continues to grow as renewable technology improves in efficiency, making more sites viable for wind energy. Vestas has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order for the 108 MW Energía Sierra Juárez II wind park, to be located in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. The contract includes the supply, transport, installation and commissioning of 26 V150-4.2 MW of which some are delivered on 4.0 MW operating mode.

Vestas has secured a 155 MW order from Stena Renewables AB for the Åby-Alebo wind energy project. Located in Mönsterås Municipality, the project will be the largest wind energy project in the southern part of Sweden.

Vestas has received an order for 137 MW of turbines, consisting of V110-2.0 MW and V110-2.2 MW turbines for a wind project in the U.S.

Vestas has secured a 101 MW order from Puhuri Oy, a developer and investor in wind energy for the Parhalahti and Hankila projects located in Northern Ostrobothnia in Finland. This takes Vestas’ order intake in Finland in 2019 above 800 MW with almost 600 MW of the volume contracted for the Enventus platform.

Vestas has received an order for 149 MW of turbines, consisting of 12 V110-2.0 MW turbines and 57 V120-2.2 MW turbines for a wind project in the U.S.

Vestas secures 42 MW order with 27-year service agreement in Sweden

Vestas has secured an order from Fu-Gen AG, a Swiss developer for the 42 MW wind project Fjällboheden northwest of Skellefteå in Northern Sweden.

Vestas has signed a 103 MW engineering, procurement and construction contract with New Zealand-based electricity generator and retailer Mercury. The deal will extend Mercury’s Turitea Wind Farm from 119 MW to 222 MW, improving the cost of energy and making Mercury’s first wind project the largest wind park in New Zealand.

Vestas has secured a 61 MW order with customer wpd for the two wind projects Chuangwei and Leadway in Taiwan. Vestas will supply, transport, install and commission a total of 17 V117-3.45 MW wind turbines delivered in 3.6 MW Power Optimised Mode that will feature Taiwan’s largest onshore rotors to optimise energy production in the sites’ medium to high wind conditions.

Nearly 600 MW of new orders in the US

Vestas America annouces two new orders with 359 and 230 MW, using V120-2.2 MW and V136-2.45MW turbines.

Vestas has secured a 168 MW order for a wind park in Mexico. The order derives from a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) and includes the supply and installation of 42 wind turbines of the 4 MW platform with V150 rotors.
