Vestas has secured a 295 MW order for thirty-one Vestas V174-9.5 MW wind turbines from Foxwell Energy Corporation Ltd. (Foxwell) for the TPC Offshore Wind Generation Project Phase 2 in Taiwan. The project is developed and owned by Taiwan Power Company (“TPC”) and will be constructed by Foxwell. This marks the third project between Vestas and Foxwell in Taiwan, with Zhangyuan and Beiyuan onshore wind farms as their previous collaborations.

Vestas secures 36 MW order in the UK

Vestas has secured a 36 MW order from Scottish developer Muirhall Energy Limited for the Greengairs East project.

International renewables developer wpd has placed a 30 MW order for the Licata wind park to be located in Sicily, Italy. The contract includes the supply and installation of seven V150-4.2 MW wind turbines, six of them delivered in 4.3 MW optimised power mode, as well as a 15-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.

Vestas has received a 21 MW order from Enefit Green AS’s subsidiary, Enefit Wind Purtse, for the Purtse wind project in Estonia, which represents Vestas’ market entry into Estonia. The order also marks Vestas’ first collaboration with Enefit Green.

Vestas has received a 171 MW order from Cordelio Power to power the Moraine Sands wind project in Illinois, USA. The order consists of 38 V150-4.5 MW turbines. This project is an expansion of the 185 MW Glacier Sands wind farm, commissioned in November 2021, which consists of 43 V150-4.2 MW turbines delivered in 4.3 operating mode.

Vestas has in the last year taken strategic steps to strengthen our foundation as well as commercially and organisationally align the company to meet the demands of the future energy market.

Vestas has decided to install the V236-15 MW offshore prototype wind turbine at the Østerild National test centre for large wind turbines in Western Jutland, Denmark. The installation of the prototype turbine will take place in the second half of 2022 and its first kWh is planned for the fourth quarter of that year. Stretching 280m into the air with a production output of 80 GWh/year, the prototype will be the tallest and most powerful wind turbine in the world once installed.

Building on a framework agreement signed in 2017, Vestas has received an order totalling 253 MW for four separate projects in Russia from Wind Energy Development Fund (WEDF), a joint investment fund created by OOO Fortum Energy and RUSNANO.

An undisclosed customer has acquired a 250 MW wind project from Steelhead Americas, Vestas’ development arm in North America. This deal is another key milestone for Vestas to expand its presence in renewable energy development and open new markets for wind energy across the country.

Vestas has received orders across three wind projects totalling 70 MW in capacity from Eurowind Energy A/S in Poland. The three projects, called Zniny Damaslawek, Pniewy, and Miescisko, are all located in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship in central Poland.

Vestas has received a 240 MW order to repower the Big Sky Wind project in Illinois, U.S., owned by Vitol Wind, marking the first cooperation between Vestas and Vitol Wind.

Vestas has secured a 50 MW order with German developer and operator of renewable energy projects, wpd AG, for three projects - Chuangwei 2, Leadway 2 and Hsinyuan wind farms in Taiwan.

Vestas has received two orders in Poland totalling 50 MW from the Project Joint Venture between V-Ridium Power Group and KGAL. V-Ridium is fully owned by Greenvolt – Energias Renovaveis SA, while KGAL is a leading independent investment and asset manager with assets under management of around €11.2 billion and assets under administration of €4.0 billion.

Vestas has received a 126 MW order from Taaleri Energia for the Isoneva project in Finland, adding to the more than 1.8 GW in firm orders already received in Finland for the EnVentus platform.

Vestas receives 29 MW order in Ireland to mark first onshore collaboration in Europe with Ørsted

Vestas has secured a 29 MW order from Ørsted for the Lisheen 3 project in County Tipperary, Ireland.

Biocantaber, a company owned by Iberdrola and Ocyener, has placed a 105 MW order for the El Escudo wind park, to be located in the region of Cantabria in Spain. The contract includes the supply and installation of 23 V136-4.2 MW wind turbines and two V117-4.2 MW wind turbines.

Vestas has received a 47 MW order for a wind project in the Dominican Republic. The contract includes the supply and installation of wind turbines from the 4 MW platform, as well as a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.

Vestas has secured a firm order for the 257 MW Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind project from Parkwind, to deliver 27 V174-9.5 MW turbines 19 km north east off the coast of the Island of Rügen, in the German Baltic Sea.

Vestas has received a 46 MW order from Yeongwol Eco Wind Co., Ltd. for the Yeongwol Eco Wind Project in Korea. Co-owned with E1 Corporation and to be constructed by Daewoo E&C, the project will be located in Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do, in South Korea.

Vestas has secured an order for the second phase of the DTEK Tiligul project, a wind farm which totals 500 MW in capacity, from DTEK Renewables. This order, which covers the remaining 372 MW of the project, being developed as the second phase of the complex, adds to the 126 MW order which Vestas received in March 2021 for the first phase.

Vestas has secured a 101 MW order from ReNew Power, one of India’s leading Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers (IPP). The order is an extension of ReNew’s existing project in Kutch, Gujarat, where Vestas had previously supplied turbines totalling to 250 MW. Vestas has also supplied turbines of 100 MW to another one of ReNew’s projects in Taralkatti, Karnataka.

Vestas wins 32 MW order in Japan

Vestas has secured a 32 MW order with Toda Corporation for the Azumakogen Wind Farm in Fukushima prefecture, Japan.

Vestas has secured a 157 MW order from Neoen to deliver the engineering, procurement and construction of Kaban Green Power Hub in Far North Queensland, Australia. The project will feature 28 of Vestas’ V162-5.6 MW turbines from the EnVentus platform. This marks Vestas’ first EnVentus order for Asia Pacific and Australia, as well as Neoen’s first Australian project with Vestas.

A coalition of industry and academic leaders have developed a new technology to enable circularity for thermoset composites, the material used to make wind turbine blades.

Italy-based engeniering and construction company SIMIC Spa has placed a 30 MW order for the Fiurme Santo wind park, to be located in Porto Torres in Sardinia, Italy. The contract includes the supply and installation of five V162-6.0 MW wind turbines, as well as a 21-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement

Marking its entrance into the Latvian wind market, Vestas has secured a 59 MW order at the Targale wind project from a special purpose company majority owned by Utilitas, the Estonian utility provider.
