Our donation for the earthquake victims in Turkey

On February 6, 2023, there were two major earthquakes in south-eastern Turkey and northern Syria (magnitude 7.8 MW and 7.5 MW). The affected region is 3/4 the size of Germany. Over 59,000 deaths were reported and more than 125,000 people were injured.

A total of 20-25 million people are affected. The natural disaster is considered one of the largest earthquakes on land in world history.

Shocked by this event and motivated by the personal commitment of our head of department, Rotor Blade Bilal Kaldirim, who travelled to Turkey shortly after the earthquake to provide first aid on behalf of the aid organization HASENE international e.V., the office team joined forces at short notice and donated €1000 in private funds from the team to the aid organization. We reported on this in our last newsletter.

At the end of the summer, we received the news from the aid organization that our money had been used to provide children with school supplies and teaching materials. Please also read the letter that was sent to us with the photos.

Thanks to your donation, we were able to provide teaching materials and school supplies for these young students who lost everything as a result of the earthquake.
