Wind Industry Profile of
Brüel & Kjær Vibro’s VibroSuite now adds more control and flexibility to wind turbine monitoring
More monitoring control
Operators can now extensively customize their monitoring experience in VibroSuite. This enables the operator to tweak the automatic monitoring functionality of the wind turbines to the customer’s specific and unique requirements. This could be done by managing the number and type of early alarms that are generated for detected anomalies or by modifying the number of fault descriptors for detecting potential failure modes based on their own experience. Even data from third party systems can now be imported into VibroSuite and monitored.
More data flexibility
Operators can copy all or parts of the data to different users for analysis and data mining purposes, completely isolated from the critical monitoring system. It is even possible to replicate data to a separate VibroSuite installation.
Vestas data interface added
In collaboration with Vestas, B&K Vibro developed a unique offering where customers to Vestas’ Monitoring Service can now subscribe to vibration data directly through VibroSuite. This satisfies increasing customer requirements to maintain a copy of the data on their own premises, and enables customer operators to do separate analysis or training on the vibration data.
VibroSuite is currently monitoring over 25000 wind turbines world-wide, providing an effective diagnostic platform to all types of turbines and to users of all levels of expertise. The result has been reduced maintenance costs and increased uptime for wind parks ranging from a few turbines to several hundred. In this release, the added monitoring control and data flexibility to VibroSuite will provide even more value to customer’s turbine healthcare management solution.
