BLIX & partners support RVO.nl with advising for soil investigations for Hollandse Kust (west)
This entails management of the geophysical survey, the geotechnical survey and the morphodynamical study. BLIX thus continues to play a role in collecting site data as preparation for the Dutch offshore wind tenders.
Since 2014 BLIX supports RVO.nl in the field of contract and project management for collecting site data. Previously BLIX was involved in offshore wind zones Borssele, Hollandse Kust (zuid) and Hollandse Kust (Noord). Every time improving the quality of the datasets for developers remains a challenge. The results form an information package for developers of soil, water and wind conditions in the wind farm zones as preparation for the tender. In this current assignment BLIX will also perform the quality check of the soil investigations. BLIX is working together with Reynolds International, Wind Support, RPS, Periplus and Marine Geological Advice.
Matté Brijder, Project Manager of RVO: ”We’re glad that BLIX supports us again. They put together a balanced team of experts for the soil investigations of Hollandse Kust (west). We are confident we, together with BLIX, will improve the quality of the data set for developers again.”
The Dutch Government recently presented the Offshore Wind Energy Roadmap 2024-2030, which lays out the schedule for the development of 7 GW new offshore wind capacity in 2024-2030. The Roadmap contains three new wind farm zones: Hollandse Kust (west), Ten noorden van de Wadden en IJmuiden-Ver. For more information: https://offshorewind.rvo.nl.
