ACP welcomes New York's announcement of clean energy projects

The American Clean Power Association (ACP) released the following statement from Josh Kaplowitz, Vice President for Offshore Wind, after New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced the solicitation awards for three offshore wind and 22 land-based renewable energy projects totaling 6.4 gigawatts (GW) of clean energy:

"The projects announced today represent $20 billion in new investments across the state and bring much-needed benefits to the environment, the economy and residents of New York. The awards include developer commitments to support disadvantaged communities that will pave the way for a cleaner future by significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning away from a dependence on fossil fuels.
