For the first time, a long-term, 100% green power supply on an industrial scale is made possible in Germany. The agreement is unique as it meets the requirements for simultaneous consumption and production as well as significant domestic production. Europe’s largest renewable energy generator Statkraft has developed the innovative green power concept, which will be implemented by Enovos. The power will be delivered to German Daimler sites.
Statkraft, Europe’s leading provider of market access services, optimises flexible gas assets to manage UK energy system needs. Since November, these assets also provide effective support for the increasing integration of renewable generation by participating in the UK’s Balancing Mechanism, at the same time creating additional value for the asset owners.
Statkraft and Commercial Metal Company Poland (CMC) have become strategic partners, commencing with the signing of a long-term financial power purchase agreement.
Statkraft has completed the 11-megawatt (MW) Kerry battery project in Ireland. The project makes it possible to store locally produced wind power.
Statkraft has decided to construct the 43 MW Windy Rig wind farm in Scotland, and subsequently transfer ownership of the project post-construction to Greencoat UK Wind PLC.

Based on this, a cost-efficient emissions reduction pathway with coherent intermediary climate targets for 2030 and 2040 needs to be established.
Solid quarter despite lower power prices.
Statkraft Energias Renovaeis SA (SKER) has been awarded contracts securing grid connection in an expedite way for 375.6 MW of new wind power capacity in Brazil, and fixed average prices of 96 to 100 BRL/MWh for 20 years, starting January 1, 2025.
Statkraft has recently acquired three wind power projects in Chile with a planned installed capacity of 110 MW in total. The acquisition gives Statkraft an opportunity to take advantage of the great wind power potential in the area and grow its renewable energy portfolio in Chile.
Renewable energy, such as solar PV and wind power, will be significantly cheaper. In Statkraft's Low Emissions Scenario 2019, the cost of renewable technologies will fall sharply over the next few decades. The cost of switching to a low carbon economy is thus far lower than the costs the world must bear if global warming is not limited.
Statkraft has acquired the entire shareholding of UK onshore wind developer Airvolution Clean Energy Ltd. The acquisition is in line with Statkraft’s recently stated ambitions to deploy 600MW of onshore wind and solar generation in the UK.
71 turbines have been erected, 70 kilometres of road have been built and hundreds of local man-years have been worked since construction started in 2016. This day marks the opening of Norway’s largest wind farm, in Roan at Fosen in Trøndelag.
Statkraft, Europe’s largest provider of market access services, and energy & meteo systems, a leading provider of forecasting services and virtual power plants are connecting intermittent wind and solar generation with battery storage capacity and flexible gas engines in one virtual power plant in UK.
