Wind Industry Profile of

A Special Invitation from Eric White of AWS Truewind, LLC

AWEA's Wind Project Profitability and Reliability Workshop Program Chair

Dear Fellow Wind Energy Professional,

On behalf of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), because of your continued commitment to the wind industry, I would personally like to invite you to attend AWEA's Wind Project Profitability and Reliability Workshop to be held January 19-20, 2010, at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego.

The Wind Project Profitability and Reliability Workshop is the industry’s premier event focused on wind project operations, maintenance and asset management, and is a great opportunity to network with plant operations, maintenance and service stakeholders to gain insights into this rapidly growing and increasingly critical sector of the industry.

As the wind industry continues to enjoy significant growth, it is becoming increasingly important that operational assets are managed to maximize overall performance, cost competitiveness and project profitability. While some aspects of wind operations are defined by project location and design, operational decisions and approaches also have significant influence on overall project financial success. This workshop will provide attendees with improved understanding of practical strategies to increase output, reduce maintenance costs, and improve wind project profitability and reliability.

We have drawn together an impressive set of speakers and panels of experts and stakeholders to discuss their thoughts, experiences and perspectives on critical aspects of operational programs designed to optimize overall project financial success.

Of particular note, this year’s program features a series of panel sessions which will bring together representatives from owner operators, original equipment manufacturers, and service providers, providing a unique opportunity to hear their thoughts and compare different perspectives on critical issues, challenges and opportunities faced in optimizing wind project operations.

In addition, focused talks will include expert perspectives on:

- Improving Performance and Cost Competitiveness
- Safety and Training
- Wind variability, forecasting and its impact on operations
- Major component reliability, maintenance, repair and replacement considerations
- Condition Monitoring and Data Analysis and its potential to improve project yields

I am honored to serve as program chair for the AWEA Wind Project Profitability and Reliability Workshop and am excited about the excellent program we have organized.

To view the list of outstanding speakers and panelists or to register for the workshop visit:

Remember to register by 3:00 pm ET, January 15 before online registration closes.
