Successful test of hydrogen production through non-desalinated seawater electrolysis

The non-desalinated seawater electrolysis technology for hydrogen production powered by offshore wind has proven effective at an offshore wind farm in East China's Fujian province. This project was a joint effort by DEC and a research team led by Academician Xie Heping from the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

This comes after the Russian invasion of Ukraine and various acts of sabotage to energy infrastructure in the Baltic Sea have created new security concerns. The signatories commit to deter possible malign activities against offshore and underwater infrastructure within NATO and EU.
