Chinese manufacturer Dongfang Electric has unveiled a groundbreaking 26-megawatt turbine, setting a new record in the competitive offshore wind industry. This move comes as Chinese companies continue to push the boundaries of turbine size.
The non-desalinated seawater electrolysis technology for hydrogen production powered by offshore wind has proven effective at an offshore wind farm in East China's Fujian province. This project was a joint effort by DEC and a research team led by Academician Xie Heping from the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
DEC has won bids to supply 7.5 MW and 10 MW offshore wind turbines to a wind farm in East China’s Zhejiang province and another in Fujian province, respectively, with a total capacity of 360 MW.
On March 30, DEW-D7000-186 offshore typhoon-resistant wind turbine which was independently developed by DEC has successfully completed the assembly and commissioning of various subsystems at the DEC’s Fujian manufacturing base.
