News Release from WEB Windenergie AG
Wind Industry Profile of
W.E.B production results April 2022
In its debut the monthly of April brought a strong thrust of cold weather which also ended up leading to several centimeters of snow down to the lowlands. However, April subsequently proceeded to be almost picture-perfect, featuring alternating mild and cold weather conditions. This movement of air masses powered the W.E.B wind power plants well in all the countries in which the company generates electricity. Austria, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Canada and the USA all concluded the month of April above target. Wind conditions in Italy were also good, but the plant downtime caused by the stroke of lightning prevented a more positive performance.
The amount of sunshine in April varied. Photovoltaic production in Austria was above target, the same as in Italy. However, the results of the photovoltaic power segment in Germany, Czech Republic and the USA all fell below target.
In the hydroelectric power segment, Austria was below target, whereas Germany exceeded the defined goal.
