BLIX provides study about Japanese offshore wind market

In the beginning of 2022, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Japan commissioned BLIX to perform a market study to strengthen offshore wind collaborations between the Netherlands and Japan and to support the Dutch floating wind sector by identifying opportunities for Dutch companies and research institutes in the Japanese floating offshore wind sector.

Japan has an ambitious offshore wind target of 30-45 GW installed capacity by 2040, which is needed to meet its carbon neutrality target by 2050.
