India's Gujarat region commissions its first wind-solar hybrid

17.6 MW captive project established to supply clean energy at Vilayat tehsil in Bharuch district / Second phase will see an additional installation of 16.68 MW for the same unit / Project is expected to mitigate total of ~150,000 tCO2e (carbon) emissions each year

ReNew Power, India’s leading renewable energy company, today announced that it had set up Gujarat’s first wind-solar hybrid project at the Chlor-Alkali unit of Grasim Industries Limited in Vilayat, Bharuch, in southern Gujarat.
