Japanese METI and MLIT revealed offshore wind power promoting sea area on 30 July 2019.

They selected 11 areas from 5 prefectures. And, they ordered to start organizing councils at 4 areas among them. This is the 1st step for development at general common sea area. The auctions are to take place at these 4 areas in near future. 4 advanced sea areas, starting council organization: Noshiro (Mitane and Oga), in Akita pref.
