Wind Industry Profile of

Another wind farm for Bavaria

But this does not mean the situation for wind energy has changed for the better since the local government decided to implement the ‘10H rule’ - since the park was approved before the implementation.

The cooperation of municipal utilities under the name of Trianel is constructing a 14.4 MW wind farm by the end of next year in the district of Bayreuth in Bavaria, Germany. Currently six wind turbines of the type N117 / 2400 of Nordex with a hub height of 141 meters will be erected on some fields in the municipalities Creußen and Speichersdorf.

"It will be difficult to build wind farms in Bavaria with the 10H rule in operation. So I am very pleased that we were able to put another excellent wind farm site in the largest German federal state in our portfolio," says Markus Hakes, Managing Director of Trianel.

The wind farm is expected to produce 35 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year, which will supply 28,000 people with green energy.
