Nordex Group will be supplying 25 of its Delta 4000 series models. The turbines will be installed with an 89m seismic tower at an undisclosed wind farm in California.
End of March, EDF Renewables (South Africa) a subsidiary of EDF Renouveables and Electricité de France (EDF), placed orders with the Nordex Group for two wind energy projects in South Africa.
The Nordex Group increased its order intake for 2023 by 16 percent to a total of 7.4 gigawatts (GW) with 1,270 wind turbines (previous year: 6.3 GW with 1,235 wind turbines).
More than 3,000 MW sold worldwide since the launch of the 6 MW turbine type N163/6.X in 2021
Including two additional projects from Chile and Brazil totaling around 560 MW, the Nordex Group received orders for 365 wind turbines with a total rated capacity of 2.2 Gigawatt (GW) in the third quarter 2023 compared to 277 wind turbines with 1.4 GW in the previous year quarter.
End of September, Enerfin, the renewable energy subsidiary of the Elecnor Group, one of Spain’s leading mechanical engineering and construction groups, awarded the Nordex Group an order for 45 MW in Spain. The order also includes a Premium Service for the turbines over a period of 20 years.
The Nordex Group has been awarded contracts for three projects by Heitkamp Industrial Solutions GmbH, a German-based construction subsidiary of Rönesans Holding. Heitkamp will act as EPC contractor in these projects on behalf of Rönesans Enerji. The three projects, which are part of the YEKA RES-3 tender, will all be supplied with N163/6.X turbines mounted on 113-meter steel towers. The orders also include Premium Service contracts for a period of ten years.
In the second quarter of this year, the Nordex Group recorded demand in the amount of 1,620 MW (Q2/2022: 1,836 MW).
Solid order intake of around 200 MW and positive signals in the German market
To complement its core business, supported by its extensive experience in the renewables sector, the Nordex Group has begun early initiatives in the green hydrogen market.
Wind Energia Sp. z.o.o. has placed an order with the Nordex Group for the supply and installation of 16 N117/3000 turbines for the 48 MW “Nozdrzec” wind farm.
The Nordex Group has received an order for 81.6 MW from the Landwind Group.
N163/5.X and N155/4.X turbines receive IEC Type Certification / Statement of Compliance for Design according to IEC awarded to the N163/6.X
Wind turbine for medium and low-wind locations based on the proven Delta4000
In July, the Nordex Group made a successful start to the third quarter of 2022 with ten new orders amounting to a total 102 MW in the German market. The Group will supply 19 turbines for various customers, including projects in Baden-Württemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The Nordex Group recorded high demand in the second quarter. Including a project from the USA of around 200 MW, total capacity amounted to 1,836 MW (Q2 2021: 1,534 MW).
The Nordex Group wins orders in Colombia: Celsia Colombia S.A., an electricity producer and distributor, has ordered 63 N155 turbines with a total of 369 MW for three projects. The orders also include a Premium Service contract for maintenance of the turbines for a period of five years with an option to extend by a further five years.
Today, 18th of May 2022, the Nordex Group has installed the world’s first N163/6.X turbine in the Delta4000 series. As recently as September 2021 the company announced the launch of the N163/6.X and thus its entry into the 6-MW class. The premiered turbine is now being installed as part of the installation work in the Zeebiestocht and Olsterwind wind farms in the province of Flevoland in the Netherlands, where a total of 15 turbines in this latest version are being installed.
End of March, the Finnish renewable energy investment and asset management platform Low Carbon placed an order with the Nordex Group for 29.5 MW in Finland. The order also includes a Premium Service contract for thirty years.
The Nordex Group recorded high demand in the fourth quarter of 2021 in line with expectations. Including another project in the United States in December for more than 180 MW, the Nordex Group achieved an order intake of 7.95 gigawatts (GW) in the year (2020: 6.02 GW).
Wind farm comprises 56 Delta4000 turbines of the latest turbine type N163/6.X of the 6 MW class / Premium long-term service agreement
The Nordex Group has obtained the Equipment Certificate (UGE) required in Spain for connection to the grid for the N149/4.0-4.5 turbine as well as the Component Certificate (CAMGE) for its own Wind Farm Controller (CWE).
The Nordex Group is adding the N163/6.X turbine to its product portfolio. The Group is following up its successful approach started with the introduction of the Delta4000 series, presented for the first time in 2017, of a flexible power range – initially with the 4 MW+ class, followed by the 5 MW+ class – and now with the 6 MW+ class.
