Bulgaria - Enercon to Participate for first time in the SE European Exhibition on EE & RES in April 2011

South-East European annual Exhibition / 13-15 April 2011 in Sofia

Enercon will participate for the first time at the South-East European annual Exhibition to be held 13-15 April 2011 in Sofia. The company announced the installation on its company premises in Magdeburg, Germany the first wind turbine of the type E-126 with an official rated capacity of 7.5 MW. The firm has thus realized what is officially the world's most powerful wind turbine at present. The hub height is 135 m. According to Enercon Magdeburg Sales Manager Frank Ihme, the turbine yields enough electricity to supply about 6,000 households.

Another participant at the event - REC Solar, announced on 8th December its new REC Peak Energy Integrated Solution. “We are diversifying our product portfolio to provide tailor made solutions to better meet the needs of our customers in the residential and commercial markets”, said A. Fodstad, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, REC Solar. The REC Peak Energy Integrated Solution is designed for building in-roof solar systems that combine the reliable power output of REC solar modules with the proven SolrifTM installation system. The solution is both weatherproof, and aesthetic, fitting directly into the roof replacing conventional building material. The product can be used for new roofs or for retrofit purposes.

The annual South East European Congress on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy 2011, taking place parallel to the Exhibition, presents a perfect opportunity for the leading players of the renewable energy sector to bring the new technologies, products and services in the Region, to find new partners and clients. Special accent will be put on the Waste-to-Energy session with 15 speakers from 10 countries: Germany, Austria, Romania, Slovenia, Japan, Canada, USA, UK, Serbia and Switzerland.

The latest developments in EE & RES Financing, Energy Efficiency and Decentralized Energy, Waste to Energy, RES Electricity, Smart Grid Platform, Renewable Heating & Cooling and e-Mobility, are among the topics to be discussed at the three-day event.
