Mobil Industrial Lubricants Announces Sponsorship of HUSUM WindEnergy 2010
BRUSSELS - Mobil Industrial Lubricants, ExxonMobil's leading international brand of lubricants for industry, today announced it will be the lead sponsor of the upcoming HUSUM WindEnergy 2010 trade fair, taking place in Husum, Germany from 21-25 September 2010. The partnership marks the first time an industrial lubricant supplier has occupied the role of lead sponsor at the event, which is internationally recognised as one of the most important trade fairs for the wind energy industry.
Mobil Industrial Lubricants will be participating in a number of activities during the fair in and around the exhibition grounds, including the official opening ceremony and the exclusive Windmasters Dinner.
Speaking of the sponsorship, Stuart Milne, Mobil Industrial Lubricants Marketing Manager, Europe, Africa & Middle East said: "ExxonMobil is committed to meeting the world's growing demand for energy in an economically, environmentally and socially responsible manner. As we recently published in our 2030 Energy Outlook, renewable energy, such as wind, is a key focus and we are committed to helping the wind energy industry develop, grow, and become more cost competitive worldwide. Increasing productivity through improved efficiency, both in design and operation, remains core to our principles and support to the wind sector"
"We are proud to aim for excellence in the wind turbine market with our innovative products such as Mobilgear SHC XMP 320, whose proprietary, balanced additive system makes it an ideal lubricant for wind turbine gearboxes. We strive to continuously set new benchmarks for lubrication excellence with our wide range of first fill, service fill and aftermarket lubrication solutions and are delighted to be sponsoring HUSUM WindEnergy 2010, one of the most important events in the annual wind energy calendar."
Currently used in more than 25,000 wind turbines worldwide, Mobilgear SHC XMP 320 is a high-performance synthetic gearbox oil that delivers exceptional oxidation resistance, a naturally high viscosity index and excellent low temperature fluidity, helping to extend lubricant life and equipment reliability. In addition, Mobilgear SHC XMP 320 contains a proprietary additive system designed to provide excellent protection against conventional wear modes like scuffing and micropitting. This performance attribute can help lead to less wear on critical parts and translates into valuable cost savings.
Hanno Fecke, Managing Director of Messe Husum commented: "We are delighted about the cooperation with the Mobil Industrial Lubricants brand. This shows that besides its significance for the industry itself and also for its partners worldwide, HUSUM WindEnergy is recognised as a special platform for establishing new and interesting business contacts. Especially with our modern, effective sponsoring and marketing options, we offer outstanding opportunities for attracting systematic attention to companies and their innovative business activities".
