HAWE Hydraulik at Husum WindEnergy 2010
HAWE Hydraulik SE, Munich, is presenting hydraulic solutions at the Husum WindEnergy 2010 trade fair that substantially contribute to a long service life and a high level of safety in wind energy plants. That’s because azimuth and rotor brakes can be controlled hydraulically with a great deal of precision and with almost every given characteristic. As a result, the most costly elements of wind energy plants, such as the gearing, tower, foundation and rotor blades, are not subject to such great stresses.
Individual solutions were developed from the product line not just for brakes, and thanks to the modular system they are completely uncomplicated. The main components of the control are compact hydraulic power packs for supplying pressure oil and leakage-free directional seated valves for keeping the operating pressure constant and preventing losses. Modules for various hydraulic functions are mounted directly on the power pack or distributed over several packs if a centralized arrangement is more advantageous.
One function is represented by each module, for example, the rotor brake, azimuth brake, pitch adjustment, rotor locking, nacelle roof opening or controllers for permanently installed on-board handling cranes.
HAWE Hydraulik fabricates all pressurized parts from steel. This makes the components rugged and their design compact, so that the space required is small and the dead weight is also correspondingly low.
