France - EDF Energies Nouvelles orders 300 MW of wind energy for its continued expansion in the USA

New contract signed with General Electric Wind covering the supply of 200 turbines

As part of its ambitious business plan in the United States, EDF Energies Nouvelles has signed a new contract with General Electric Wind covering the supply of 200 turbines with 300 MW in capacity.

The turbines with unit capacity of 1.5 MW are due to be delivered in 2009. They are intended for the construction of projects in the United States, where enXco, the US subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles, continues to expand at a brisk pace.

This order represents another framework agreement signed by EDF Energies Nouvelles with one of the world’s leading manufacturers to secure its supply of turbines around the world.
