Cyber attack on Deutsche Windtechnik
As a consequence, it is currently not possible to reach us via e-mail. Based on our current knowledge, we do not expect wind turbines to be affected by the attack.
All systems are currently being checked in a secure environment by internal and external IT experts consulted by us. As soon as the verification is complete and it is ensured that the disruption is banned, the systems will be restarted.
Deutsche Windtechnik will provide further updates as soon as new information is available.
Update 14 April 2022
After intensive investigation by IT experts and forensic specialists, we confirm a targeted professional hacker attack.
Immediately after the attack was detected, all remote data monitoring connections to the wind turbines (WTGs) were disconnected for security reasons. These have now been reconnected and we confirm that no WTGs were affected by the attack. There is no danger for our customers and business operations can continue with minor restrictions.
