ENERCON Continues Success Story in Turkey

With the completion of the Metafor wind farm in the province of Bingöl, ENERCON has installed more than two gigawatts of power in Turkey. Since 1998, ENERCON has installed nearly 1,000 wind turbines in Turkey, making it one of the largest renewable energy companies in the country. "We are very proud of the motivation and commitment of the entire ENERCON team. Despite the pandemic, the team has managed to erect more than 100 wind turbines in 2020. This would not have been possible without the constructive cooperation with all project participants, who have supported the realisation of the projects with motivation and full commitment," explains Arif Günyar, Managing Director ENERCON Turkey.

"We will certainly remember the year 2020 for a long time. As a team, however, we managed to successfully overcome many challenges. Most recently, we are very happy to have successfully installed and commissioned the wind turbine at an altitude of 2700 metres at the Metafor project," says Salih Batur, Senior General Project Manager ENERCON Turkey.

The Metafor wind farm in eastern Turkey consists of twelve E-138 EP3 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 49.7 megawatts. All turbines will be delivered this year.
