M-PT: Bolting technology in industry 4.0

In cooperation with the development department of de Jaeger Automation the bolting tools were integrated into this software. ProTight™ documents all bolting results and guides the worker in the bolting work in production. This is especially suitable for assembly workstations.

Visible results

The ProTight™ worker guidance system shows the required work steps and the bolting sequence. Depending on the equipment, PASS/FAIL bolted connections are displayed on large LED signal lights and as an image or video on the monitor. The bolting result can be printed out as a barcode and attached to the component. All data is logged.

Flawless bolt connections

The ProTight™ software communicates with the torque wrench and transmits individual torque/angle values from bolt to bolt. The software checks whether all bolts have been tightened correctly according to the specifications and detects, for example, if bolts have been forgotten or tightened twice. Error messages cannot be ignored.
