Goldwind Participated Successfully in Brazil Wind Power 2018
This year, Goldwind South America Regional Center actively participated in different activities -conferences, talks and workshops- and sponsorship the Meeting Center of the event with the aim of increasing brand visibility, show the projects executed in the country, close ties with customers and suppliers, and find new business opportunities.“For the company it is a great moment in Brazil and in the region, with a lot of new projects and oportunities, and we are happy to the progress that Goldwind has had in the last years”, said Liang Xuan, General Manager of the region.
One of the most relevant activities that the company was carried out was the workshop "Challenges and Innovations for Service Business in Brazil", in the conference space of the fair on August 7th. The speakers, José Eduardo Teixeira, Goldwind Brazil General Manager, and Rafael Guerra, Business Development Manager, argued that “the recent project closed is our first expressive footprint in the country, and gives us a great opportunity to show Goldwind's technical capability and accumulated along decades of experience and definitely reinforces our commitment to this market."
The speakers also led the workshop about wind innovations in Brazil, placed in Goldwind stand, on August 8th. In the end, the company offered a networking cocktail, in which diverse experts of the world of the renewable energy were met to discuss about current business and new opportunities.
The manufacture of turbines in South America was a part of the issues addressed in the Brazil Wind Power Congress, where authorities and executives of the sector discussed about the main issues of the wind sector. In relation to this, in the panel discussion "Challenges of the wind energy supply chain", Joe Barbosa - Commercial Manager - was optimistic and commented that "the fact that our technology is not new in the Brazilian market, reduces the risk of manufacturing in the country".
Complemented the Brazil Wind Power, Goldwind attended the “Recharge Thought Leaders Roundtable”, that was carried out on August 7th in the Museo de Arte Modero of Rio de Janeiro. In the event, a traditional lunch and debate of market leaders were hosted by Recharge which take place every year. Liang Xuan participated as a speaker in the panel discussion about the possibility of the wind market leading the energy transition in Brazil. In the panel, there were also present of: Jean-Paul Prates (President of the Cerne, energy think tank), Luciano Coutinho (economist, university professor and researcher at Unicamp), and Talita Porto (electrical engineer and councilor at the Brazilian Power Trading Chamber - CCEE).
The first week of August offered a huge flow of new opportunities, connections for the wind energy sector, and in particular for Goldwind that strengthens its presence in the region.
