First in the world - Jacket #100
This milestone has been reached through a successful serial production at its Lindo Industrial Park facility in Denmark.
”We have gone from empty halls at Lindo in 2013 to establishing a state-of-the-art serial production set up, which is a huge achievement accomplished by our dedicated and highly experienced team who has worked tremendously hard,” says Jens Peter Andersen, Product & Department Manager, Jackets, Bladt Industries.
”The completion of the 100th jacket in our history and our ability to serially produce them is a cause for celebration, not only for Bladt, but for the whole industry because it shows it can be done and there is a demand out there.
“Of course, we like to be pioneers – it’s certainly a good feeling to have these achievements under our belts, and we will continue to do what we do best: making complex steel structures.” says Jan Kjaersgaard, CEO, Bladt Industries.
Henrik Victor Hansen, Production Manager at Lindo added: “When we signed the lease for Lindo we had faith in that we would succeed because of the expertise we have built up over many years. There have been some bumps in the road along the way but we have learned from them and this has allowed us to develop and mature and reach our goal of full serial production.
“Now Bladt can look back on a historical journey, that no-one has previously taken, with pride. It has been achieved by team spirit and is a real success story.”
Production of the jackets has taken place at Lindo – 41 jacket foundations for Baltic 2 (2014), 41 jacket foundations for Wikinger (2016) and 30 jacket foundations for Beatrice (ongoing).
