Vestas' new wind record

With the worldwide sale of wind turbines with a total output of more than 1.2 GW in just four days, the Danish manufacturer impresses in the middle of summer.

From June 28 to July 1, 2017, China, Austria, the US, Sweden, Australia, Argentina and Ireland ordered a total of 1286 MW. 360 of Vestas' most frequently installed wind turbine, V110 - 2.0 MW, were ordered, followed by the V136 - 3.45 MW with 112 wind turbines delivered in the 3.6 MW Power Optimized Mode.

The largest single order with a total output 288 MW came from Sweden with 80 wind turbines of type V126 - 3.45 MW. Here there was another order of 32 V136 - 3.45 MW turbines for a park in Central Sweden. Orders from a total of 335 wind turbines were received from the US. Argentina ordered 28 wind turbines of the V117 - 3.45 MW type, China 25 times the V11 - 2.0 MW, Australia 15 V126 - 3.45 MW, Austria and Ireland followed with 10 and 4 wind power plants.
