Dokka Fasteners has successfully implemented international certification

Dokka Fasteners has successfully implemented ISO 14001:2015, the leading international standard for continual improvements of an environmental management system. In this way, we have a common and systematic approach to sustainable development. This gives Dokka Fasteners the possibility to effectively address its environmental impacts and implement necessary actions.

ISO 14001:2015 is a universal standard that specifies how to improve an organization’s environmental performance. Being ISO 14001:2015 certified means that Dokka Fasteners complies with international legislation. In addition, it demonstrates that we are highly committed to embrace our environmental responsibilities. The aim is to maintain and continually improve our environmental management system by determining the compliance obligations in relation to our environmental aspects. 

“An important milestone has been reached within our environmental management work that shows the right direction for all of us. We see the ISO 14001:2015 certification as being essentially important to achieve better environmental results,” says Lars Frederiksen, CEO, Managing Director at Dokka Fasteners.

Reduce energy consumption and waste

The ISO 14001:2015 certification ensures that Dokka Fasteners reduces its environmental impacts. For instance, Dokka Fasteners maps and analyzes those aspects of the organization’s activities, products and services that may influence the environment.

“Implementing ISO 14001:2015 is part of our organization’s strategic planning processes. We have set concrete environmental goals that cover all activities in the organization to handle environmental aspects in accordance with the internationally recognized standard. For example, all waste must be separated, and we are working on a major project that focuses on reducing energy consumption. The focus and our goal is to reduce the kWh produced per kilogramme by 25%,” explains Lars Frederiksen. 

The certification is valid for the scope of stock-holding, sale and delivery of fasteners in Brande, Denmark, and it covers development, manufacturing, stock-holding, sale and delivery of fasteners in Dokka, Norway. Below you will find our certificate.
