Windfair: Is the Wind Energy Industry a priority for your company? How so?

Michael Döffinger: The Wind Energy Industry is to us a market with high strategic value and great potential for the future. It is an opportunity to let new customers benefit from 140 years of experience in centralized lubrication systems.


Windfair: How many employees does your company have?

Michael Döffinger: Our two facilities in Germany (Düsseldorf and Beierfeld) employ a staff of about 170. DELIMON is the German subsidiary of the global group Bijur Delimon International, specialized in centralized lubrication systems. With our lubrication system products and services we are one of the leading suppliers worldwide with a total of more than 1000 employees. Our global approach is well-founded on subsidiaries in Germany, USA, UK, Ireland, Spain, France, Austria, Russia, China and India.


Windfair: How many dedicated to Wind Energy?

Michael Döffinger: All activities related to Wind Energy are coordinated by a dedicated key account manager. The team includes project managers and colleagues from engineering and development.


Windfair: Do you have any new or upcoming Wind Energy Products or Services?

Michael Döffinger: We are permanently developing and improving products for the Wind Energy market. In this context a close cooperation with the customers is most important in order to include the customer’s whishes and needs into the process of product development. We can choose from a wide variety of proven and tested products, including a new range of compact and versatile pumps tailored (but not limited) to the needs of this market.
Our latest development is an improved system for waste grease disposal that overcomes the problems inherent in conventional systems of that type, like prolonged pressure relief and grease stagnation.


Windfair: Do you have any special training programs for your employees?

Michael Döffinger: We definitely see potential for growth in this market segment. This means we will further extend our Wind Energy team. We will bring additional engineers and specialists on board who will receive training on our products, markets and internal workflows.


Windfair: Tell us about your future developments. What can we expect in the next year or two?

Michael Döffinger: Despite a stagnating wind energy market in Germany we see a global potential for growth. We aim to expand our market share and supply our customers with the best service and reliable products. 100% satisfied customers are one of our main objectives. This is where our international structure is a great advantage. All important WTG manufacturers sell (and often produce) their products worldwide. For those it is important to cooperate with suppliers with worldwide production and service facilities who can supply the customer with constant quality all over the world. That is where Bijur Delimon International comes in.
