Higher quality site analysis for small wind turbines

Small wind turbines (SWT) are experiencing increasing demand throughout Germany. Not only private users and farmers install SWTs but also industry, car stores, retail shops and so on.

However, SWTs should only be built at sites with appropriate wind conditions. Wind maps give a first but insufficient insight into the site’s quality. In addition there are a lot of local factors to be considered:

height above the ground and roughness of the ground’s surface, turbulence and shading from buildings and vegetation, effects of the topology around the site.Only wind monitoring on site provides a trustworthy and cost-effective overview about the quality of a wind site. Wind monitoring is one of the steps in a SWT project. Nowadays, numerous professional SWT distributors offer all services needed to set up a SWT successfully. Besides wind monitoring this covers the acquisition of building permissions or grid-connection, installation and commissioning of the turbine. For wind monitoring equipment many of these professional SWT distributors rely on INENSUS’s aeolog compact wind monitoring system.

INENSUS manufactures compact wind monitoring systems for professional SWT distributors and project developers for more than six years now. More than 500 systems have been released to the market, most of them to Germany. That is more than the annual number of small wind turbines (5 - 20 kW) to be installed in Germany. Obviously the aeolog prevents many investors from painful and wrong decisions.

Therefore, the aeolog is THE professional wind monitoring system in the small wind sector.
As of now the aeolog compact wind monitoring system is available with wind-zone-specific towers. On request you will receive the respective documentation of statics for selected combinations of wind-zone and freezing class at the site of the INENSUS headquarters as an example.

And the aeolog offers yet another innovation:

Calibrated anemometers will help our customers to obtain even more exact measuring results (available end of March 2012). Do you want to learn more about the aeolog? – Please get in touch or visit us at the New Energy Husum 2012 trade fair from March 15 – 18. We are looking forward to meeting you in hall 1, booth B26 and explain about the new features of the aeolog.

Please get back to us for a complimentary trade fair ticket.
