This week: Hailo Professional: safety maintenance of wind power systems of all sizes
Several servo motors and hoist drives ensure safe, comfortable utilisation of the system. The patented, sensor-supported levelling feature is an innovation in this area.
As a result of the open “U shape”, the platform can easily be wrapped around the rotor blade. If required, the platform sides can be swivelled in behind the rotor blade using servo motors, allowing the fitter to safely and comfortably inspect both sides of the blade.
Each Hailo BLADElift is equipped with two anchorage points and two accompanying height securing devices. This ensures that fitters are safe on the platform at all times and in all positions. For emergencies, the BLADElift includes a rescue device, which can be attached to two further anchorage points on the outside of the system. The modular construction of the Hailo BLADElift enables the system to be quickly adapted for various situations and to be transported quickly and without wasting time, allowing for the maintenance of several systems on a single day.
Regular maintenance ensures maximum safety
Hailo’s climbing technology know-how and the quality of its products ensure optimum safety and comfortable working at all times. For the sake of its customers, the company believes that it is important that safety components used in towers function efficiently for years. To ensure this, Hailo-certified maintenance and service companies are internationally active.
As a responsible developer and manufacturer, the Haiger-based company has its own in-house customer support service division on standby to carry out inspections and maintenance work on internal tower installations – reliably and cost-efficiently. As well as inspections, repairs and the replacement of climbing system such as ladders, service lifts and fall arrest systems, the Hailo in-house customer support service and its partners also provide these services for cables, cable suspension assemblies, fire extinguisher systems, winches, tower, PPE and crane systems.
This way, operators of wind power systems can rely on the Hailo safety concept even years after the systems have been installed.
