Australia - REpower and Suzlon join forces in the Australian wind energy market
REpower Australia and Suzlon Energy Australia today officially commenced combining operations in the Australian market. The new entity, REpower Australia, will offer both Suzlon and REpower products and EPC services ensuring the optimum product choice for customers.
Dan Hansen, the new CEO and Managing Director of REpower Australia, emphasized the benefits for customers and stakeholders that will be delivered through this new vehicle: “With our combined expertise and product offering, we create a formidable player in the country’s wind industry and strengthen our offering in an important and well established market,” he said. “REpower Australia is now the largest EPC provider of wind power plants in Australia and provides a ‘one-stop shop’ solution for our customers.”
“The collaboration is a logical extension of the existing Sales Agency and Consultancy agreements between the Australian entities and will bring together the strengths of the two teams to a sharper competitive edge, enhancing their capability to serve their customers”, said Jan Gasche, former Managing Director of REpower Australia, who returns to REpower headquarter after a short hand over period.
REpower Australia will continue to deliver a seamless service to the combined customer base; contracts and legal agreements will be continued and remain unaffected. The whole process of intensified collaboration is limited to the Australian market and does not affect the independent worldwide operations of Suzlon and REpower.
