SGS to Attend Wind Power Development and Implementation Conference 2010 in Cairo, Egypt
The renewable energy markets of Africa have been experiencing increasing demand with continued development and this provides exciting opportunities and challenges for the renewable energy industry.
The Wind Power Conference, to be held at the Cairo Ramses Hilton Hotel in Egypt, will take place on December 13th and 14th, with interactive workshops to be held on the 12th and 15th. SGS will be holding its presentation on day 2 of the conference, Tuesday 14 December 2010 at 10.30 am.
Organized by IQPC, the annual Wind Power Conference is an important international event for the wind energy industry, where experts annually gather to discuss wind energy industry trends, technological developments and the changing regulatory landscape. This year’s conference will have a particular focus on Africa and many topics are to be covered at the Wind Power conference. These include the outlining of environmental regulations for renewable energy and energy efficiency, the examination of technical components and combined energy sources, an exploration of the latest methods for integrating wind power energy into Africa’s electrical grid and the planning of the design of transmission and distribution networks. Focus will also be given on how to attract and secure international funding.
SGS, with its team of experts and extensive experience, is well placed to discuss the issues facing the wind power industry. Working as an independent global project surveyor, SGS will discuss ways of increasing the efficiency of wind energy projects, from concept to commissioning. The presentation SGS will give on Conference Day 2 will detail SGS’s project execution process, involving the identification of key requirements, beginning with tender evaluation and ending with final acceptance. At each stage of the wind energy project, SGS aims to deliver a comprehensive service that will efficiently minimize risks and maximize outcomes for the client.
During each phase of the project, from tender process and contract negotiation through to installation management and then through to the final handover to the client, SGS implements its rigorous, internationally recognized procedures that provide quality assurance and ensure quality control throughout the lifecycle of the wind farm project. SGS strives to maintain a strong local presence and its experienced staff have been successfully involved in the development, management and completion of a wide range of wind energy projects. Recognizing the importance of comprehensive knowledge of the local legal and regulatory issues, SGS implements precise schedule planning, working to ensure the safety, security and quality of its wind energy projects, all delivered as part of the SGS Project Execution service offered to SGS clients.
