South Korea - Korea to invest in wind energy in Pakistan
Wind energy is making headway into Pakistan as 23 companies have shown interest in setting up wind power generation projects in the country.
Talking to the media after a energy meeting in Karachi, Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the wind energy project would help increase electricity generation by 15,000 megawatts in Sindh.
According to a report published in The Express Tribune, the Korean government has granted $180 million to Korean companies based in Pakistan for investing in the energy sector.
Mandviwalla said that the Koreans are particularly interested in alternative energy sources, especially solar and wind energy.
