BBB's new accreditation for wind measurements

BBB Umwelttechnik GmbH is now accredited for wind measurements according to DIN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. The certificate of the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) has recently arrived. At the same time BBB’s accreditation for “the definition of wind potential and energy yields of wind turbines” has been renewed. From now on BBB is allowed to promote its expert services in those fields with the new DAkks-seal.

The named accreditations are proof for BBB’s particular carefulness and exactness in the data acquisition and handling: From the choice of the measurement equipment and the data logger to the data processing and administration – every step is to be made according to the strictly determined and regularly audited testing procedure. This results in highly transparent calculations and traceable prognosis.

For BBB’s clients this means that they can put maximal trust in the data compiled. This is crucial as the wind measurements and the resulting wind assessments are decisive factors for the calculation of the profitability and the economic value added. Small inaccuracies in the wind measurements directly affect the results of the yield assessments and increase the investment risk. Therefore it is important right from the beginning of a project on to have a trustworthy partner.
