Argentina - 90 MW Tornquist Wind Farm in the planning

Tornquist, in the province of Buenos Aires , having a fleet of sixty wind turbines with ninety megawatts, will cost $ 200 million.

The 90 MW wind farm will cost $ 200 million and construction will begin in three months. The wind farm is part of the Generation of Renewable Energy program, which carries out the state-owned Enarsa and that includes the operation of several wind farms across the country .

The wind farm will occupy about 1,000 hectares, comprising farms of producers Marcenac Miguel, Jesus Rossiere and Raul Iriarte.

The wind turbines can supply the villages of Tornquist, Sierra de la Ventana, Saldungaray , Coronel Suárez, and Puan Pigüé and much of eastern Pampa.

The successful tenderer have agreed to operate the wind power project in no more than three years. The contract between the contractor and Enarsa provides that the state energy company will purchase the electricity the wind farm produce fee-based dollarized.

The 754 MW wind power generation awarded to the tender GENRE show a new scenario in Argentina focused on wind four companies (three in Argentina and a Spanish subsidiary of a holding company).

Emgasud Renovables SA (including the three new holding companies: Sustainable Energy SA, International New Energies SA, Patagonia Wind Energy SA) carry 300 MW. Isolux SA made 200 MW. The wind turbine manufacturer Impsa 155 MW and 99 MW.

This new scenario may be modified slightly when, as has been reported, be given an opportunity to tenders submitted for tender and awarded to adjust their prices.
