New 2009 European and global wind energy statistics
You are invited to a breakfast press briefing to launch the 2009 European and global wind energy statistics on Wednesday, 3 February, at 9:30 CET.
The 2009 wind energy statistics include national data for more than 70 countries around the world - including the EU 27, candidate and EFTA states.
Speakers will be Christian Kjaer, Chief Executive of the European Wind Energy Association’s Chief Executive, and Angelika Pullen, Communication Director of the Global Wind Energy Council.
How much wind energy capacity was installed in each country in 2009? And how does this compare with other sources of electricity? How did Europe perform in wind energy compared to China, India and the US?
