Mexico - Liebherr will install its first plant in this country
The German Company, leader into wind power supplies, cranes and equipment, will invest U 300 million to install a plant in the state of Nuevo Leon.
The arrival of the new plant, will mean the generation of more than 1,500 direct and 4,500 indirect jobs, which will ease the city's economy both during construction and once it starts operations.
In a first stage, the company will invest U $ S 40 million in setting up a warehouse of 22,000 square meters on a plot of 300,000 square meters. The remainder consists of investments in machinery, equipment and furniture for around U $ S 260 million.
It is expected that the plant, located at kilometer 9.5 of the road to Garcia, start operations towards the end of 2010.
The director of urban development in the municipality of Garcia said: "we were those who encourage investment, attract investors, we gave them the facilities and help them to find the ground. Finally they chose to elect the town of Garcia"
