USA - WePOWER and PacWind announce strategic alliance
WePOWER, LLC, a modern renewable energy company, today announced its strategic alliance with PacWind, the designer and manufacturer of innovative wind turbines.
WePOWER will manage all business development, sales, marketing and strategic development for PacWind on an exclusive basis. WePOWER will manage all business operations related to the energy created by PacWind's vertical axis wind turbines including the tax incentives, energy rebates and carbon credits.
The companies will collaborate to deliver perpetual and clean energy solutions which will help reduce carbon emissions and provide an economically viable alternative to traditional carbon-emitting energy. The companies will focus on developing wind energy applications in densely populated urban and suburban markets, taking advantage of PacWind's vertical axis technology, as well as the traditional rural markets, like wind farms.
"WePOWER shares our vision for expanding the use and utilization of wind turbine technology across a variety of applications, including urban areas," said PacWind CEO Mary Watkins. "WePOWER will help us leverage our transformational wind energy technologies and bring them to new and untapped markets."
The partnership between the two companies is timely as the energy needs of the U.S. continue to increase as does the country's desire to rely on energy that which has little or no impact on the environment. New advances in wind turbine design now enable turbines to operate at lower wind speeds and to harvest more of the wind's energy in innovative ways -- dramatically expanding commercial and consumer interest in wind power technology.
"Clearly, PacWind is and has been a leader in the development of versatile and cost effective wind energy technology. And we believe that together the two companies can help drive the uptake of perpetual wind energy solutions in rural, suburban and urban settings," said WePOWER Chairman and CEO, Marvin Winkler.
About PacWind:
PacWind, LLC is a wind energy innovator. Since 1998, its founders have been developing a proprietary series of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines that have had a transformative effect on the wind energy industry. The Company has designed wind turbines for a wide variety of applications -- from turbines built for NASA to capture 400-mile-an-hour winds for a lander on Mars -- to more common uses like the turbine that powers Jay Leno's 20,000-square-foot Green Garage in Los Angeles. Unlike traditional propeller wind turbines, PacWind's vertical axis turbines are silent, vibration free, maintenance free, cost-effective and visible to birds. PacWind turbines provide a swift financial return to their owners and users. They are suitable for use in both densely populated cities and rural areas, like wind farms. PacWind's vertical turbines can be installed on buildings, homes, stand-alone poles and can blend into diverse landscapes.
About WePOWER:
WePOWER is a modern energy company dedicated to developing perpetual energy solutions around the world. The company operates primarily in the wind, solar and magnetic energy fields. WePOWER develops and deploys urban energy systems and retrofits traditional wind farms. The company provides a new platform for enabling corporate brand positioning into today's green environment. WePOWER is the Licensor for patented technologies, manages sales, marketing and business administration services to the world's leading wind, solar and magnetic technology and manufacturing firms. With its own intellectual property and patents and through relationships with innovative perpetual energy firms, WePOWER manages all economics of the energy created by these innovative technologies including the tax incentives, energy rebates and carbon credits.
