Twelfth WindEnergy trend:index: Mood declines in European wind industry, contrary to other markets
In the twelfth edition of the mood barometer WEtix, the positive assessments given six months ago for Asia remain largely unchanged while values for North America have changed only slightly and Germany and Europe are clearly trending downwards. Australia, South America and Africa, summarily referred to as “rest of world”, improve somewhat, no longer taking last place.
The effects of resource scarcity – an item addressed in this survey for the first time – are seen as very strong. For the first time, the saving potential inherent in new technologies has received significantly lower marks than in the past, and the expected future turbine size is actually decreasing.
