Wölfel Wind Systems participates in US-Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Project

Wölfel Wind Systems is pleased to announce its involvement in the remarkable Coastal Virginia Offshore Windfarm project in the USA.

Located 27 miles off the scenic shores of Virginia Beach, it will be a testament to renewable energy advancement. With 176 SIEMENS Games 10MW wind turbines, it is expected to power up to 660,000 households once completed in 2026.

Wölfel will play a crucial role in ensuring the wind farm's reliability through the expertise in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). Advanced SHM solutions will be installed at 18 strategic locations to maintain the wind farm's structural integrity. These systems will be constructed and installed at a foundation supplier in Denmark before making their transatlantic journey.
