Lloyd's Register Group releases innovative wind energy CD ‘infocard’
The Lloyd's Register Group has released an innovative CD ‘infocard’ that features its range of technical services to the wind energy and renewable energy sectors. The CD includes links to an wind energy and renewablé energy extranet page specifically designed to meet the needs of stakeholders in these sectors and is part of a wider campaign to support its ongoing commitment to wind energy. “There has been a significant increase in demand for our technical services in recent months since we repositioned ourselves in the market place,” said Paul Phillips, Marketing Manager of Lloyd’s Register Energy and Transportation.
Mr. Phillips goes onto say that “these services cover conformity assessment certification, including design appraisal, and engineering consultancy, ranging from foundations and structures through to operations of wind energy projects. The aim is to work closely with owners, manufacturers, operators, insurers and funding agencies to reduce project risks and to maximise availability. “We have a dedicated team of experienced engineers and business professionals who are there to meet the stakeholders needs. By keeping the team small our aim is to be flexible and dynamic whilst building trust and giving confidence to all participants in the wind energy community. “Following contact with customers and stakeholders the group knew that the CD format was the preferred method of communication. The industry is witness to huge changes and they needed to reflect this in our communications as well as our services, which is why we opted for a more dynamic approach.”
