ACP Statement on Ocean Wind 1 Final Environmental Impact Statement
The American Clean Power Association (ACP) released the following statement today from Josh Kaplowitz, Vice President for Offshore Wind, after the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) announced the availability of the final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the proposed Ocean Wind 1 project offshore of New Jersey.
This is the final step before BOEM issues a Record of Decision (ROD) on project approval, expected this summer. “We’re excited about the continued progress New Jersey is making toward its offshore wind goals, which will create 10,000 jobs and $4.7 billion in economic impact across the state.
