Global Wind Service to pre-assemble Fécamp wind turbines

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (Siemens Gamesa) has selected Global Wind Service (GWS) as partner for the complete pre-assembly scope for Parc éolien en mer de Fécamp in France.

The pre-assembly scope includes pre-assembly of the tower components as well as assembly of the HSBM tool on the nacelles. GWS started mobilizing in February and the first vessel load out is expected to take place in May. The award comes on the back of several successful pre-assembly projects together (Wind Farm Fryslân in the Netherlands for all 89 turbines and Greater Changhua 1 & 2a Offshore Wind Farms for 111 turbines). “We are very excited to be involved in this second major offshore project in France after Parc éolien en mer de Saint-Nazaire last year.... ...
