WFO publishes its Global Offshore Wind Report for HY1 2022 – Global offshore wind growth largely driven by China
6.8 GW of global offshore wind capacity was installed in HY1 2022 / China alone installed 5.1 GW of new offshore wind capacity in HY1 2022 / 54.9 GW of offshore wind capacity were in operation worldwide by end of June 2022 / 11.9 GW of offshore wind capacity are currently under construction worldwide
World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO) published its Global Offshore Wind Report HY1 2022 today. Globally, 6,759 MW of offshore wind capacity went into operation during the first six months of 2022 compared to 1,627 MW during HY1 2021. This growth was mainly driven by China which installed 5.1 GW of new offshore wind capacity in HY1 2022.
