U.S. installed 6.6 gigawatts of new clean power with 90 projects coming online / Year-over-year quarterly growth slows to 11% as 14 gigawatts of projects face delays
The American Clean Power Association today released its Clean Power Market Report Q1 2022 , which showed that wind, utility-scale solar, and battery storage sectors installed 6,619 megawatts (MW) of utility-scale clean power capacity – enough to power 1.4 million American homes. The record capacity is largely due to gains in battery storage installation, with storage installations up 173%, solar installations up 11%, and wind installations down 3%, as compared to the first quarter of 2021.
