Program Chairperson Invitation:
Dear Fellow Wind Energy Professional,
On behalf of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), I would like to personally invite you to attend AWEA’s 3rd annual Wind Energy Fall Symposium, taking place November 1 - 2, 2007 in Carlsbad, California. The setting for this year’s conference is the beautiful La Costa Resort and Spa, a luxury resort located on the Pacific coast just north of San Diego, California. This year’s conference theme is: “The Wind Power Imperative – Securing America’s Economic, Environmental and Energy Future.”
In response to the phenomenal growth of AWEA’s annual WINDPOWER Conference and Exhibition, the Fall Symposium was created to provide a more intimate opportunity for industry professionals to gather every year. With over 600 attendees expected, the Symposium offers numerous high quality business interactions and networking opportunities.
Each panel session has been tailored to highlight key challenges facing the wind industry and solutions that will position our industry to maximize its growth potential. During the general sessions, we will get an update on the 20% U.S. wind scenario, and hear from top industry, scientific and environmental experts on wind energy’s critical role in combating the climate crisis.
I was deeply honored to be asked to serve as Program Chair for this year’s Fall Symposium and am excited about the program we have put together. Having come to the wind industry with nearly two decades of professional experience in the environmental and political arenas, I am extremely proud to be working in an industry poised to make such a positive mark on society.
The AWEA Wind Energy Fall Symposium is a special event no wind industry professional should miss. So come and expand your network of business contacts, mix and mingle with your colleagues in a relaxed resort atmosphere, and accomplish the quality networking that can be challenging on the exhibit floor at larger industry events.
I encourage you to register now and book your room at the La Costa Resort and Spa at the special low rate arranged by AWEA, while rooms are still available. Call (800) 854-5000 and indicate you are with the American Wind Energy Association. Or follow https://reservations.synxis.com/LBE/rez.aspx?Hotel=10176&Chain=5164&group=53R353 to book your hotel reservation on-line.

I look forward to seeing you there!
