Germany - Nordex to focus on the N90/2500 wind turbine at upcoming exhibitions
The focus of the Nordex presence at the Energy Fair in Hanover from 16-20 April 2007 as well as the EWEC 2007 in Milan from 7-10 June 2007 will be on the presentation of its powerful multi-megawatt turbines. With more than 400 machines now installed worldwide, the N80/N90 (2,300 kW and 2,500 kW) series has been more extensively tested than most turbines in this class. Almost 85 per cent of new Nordex orders are for these large machines and they come from European customers outside Germany.
With the N90/2500 turbine Nordex offers a wind power system that has proved itself in operation, and which with a rotor diameter of 90 metres achieves high yields across the entire wind spectrum thanks to its economically designed performance characteristics. The installed electrical capacity represents the highest possible efficiency in terms of specific space requirements. Designed for inland and high-wind locations, the N90/2500 is available in the basic “Low Speed” and “High Speed” versions. The turbines differ in their performance characteristics, in electricity output, noise level and areas of application. The electrical features of the N90/2500 kW fulfill international grid connection rules and the turbine is certified and supplied as a 50 or 60 Hz version. Even in locations with average wind speeds, an N90/2500 is able to supply clean power for approx. 1800 four-person households.
