WESTAR ENERGY SELECTS THE ONEVIEW® SCADA SYSTEM

SCADA International announces that OneView^® SCADA will be integrated at three of Westar Energy’s wind energy sites. OneView^® is a simple, flexible and all-in-one OEM independent solution for renewable operation and asset management. With a unified SCADA platform, Westar’s win­d fleet will enable operators to efficiently monitor and control three wind projects that include Vestas V90, Siemens 2.3 and Clipper 2.5 wind turbine models.

Particularly, Westar Energy selected OneView^® SCADA system because it offered the functionality, flexibility, and scalability needed to increase the speed and simplicity of monitoring and controlling multiple OEM renewable plants. The system also provides operational and maintenance cost benefits, by reducing the number of long-term SCADA service contracts needed. Operators, maintenance personnel, asset managers and management will have access to live and historical data along with advanced tools to visualize and analyze the data leading to smarter and more informed business decisions.
