Siemens Gamesa reinforces offshore foothold in Asia Pacific with launch of nacelle assembly facility in Taiwan
First Siemens Gamesa offshore wind power nacelle assembly facility outside of Europe to be built / Lease contract signed with Taiwan International Ports Corporation for land parcel of over 30,000 square meters in the port of Taichung / Location will be used for offshore nacelle assembly, testing, warehousing, office buildings, and outdoor storage / Production start planned for 2021; facility will support Ørsted’s 900 MW Greater Changhua 1 & 2a project and future regional projects
